In macOS Sequia and later, tasks with due dates in Reminders will automatically appear in the Apple Calendar app for Mac. The same is true for iOS and iPadOS.

However, you can also create tasks with due dates from the Calendar app. Here’s how.

  1. Open the Calendar app on your Mac
  2. Click the plus sign and choose “New Reminder”
  3. Add a title, notes, and any relevant tags
  4. Choose a date and time for this task to be completed
  5. Include any additional information as needed
  6. Click outside the dialog box to save the task to Reminders

You can also create a task by clicking and dragging on your Calendar and choosing the Reminder tab. The keyboard shortcut, Cmd + N, will also allow you to create tasks in the Calendar app.

Tasks can be marked as complete from the Calendar app by clicking the circle to the left of the task name. This action will sync to the Reminders app the next time you open it. The same applies to any details you add or modify on a specific task.
